Another 21 hour day!

Yesterday morning at 4.30am I woke up to start my latest Youth in action project. I packed the car did numerous checks and met Amy at 6.30am.

The project is based in Aylesbury so a 2 hour drive. We arrived in good time at the Green Park Centre and emptied the car.

After a shop for stationary at Staples and a quick bacon sandwich we went to meet our colleague Trevor off the train. Back to Green Park for the project setup, then off to meet our first guests from Poland for lunch.

Over the next 6 hours we welcomed guests from 6 counties and did 175 miles picking them up from various train/bus stations. At 10.30pm all expected participants had arrived. so a quick welcome drink at a local pub. At 12.30am everyone had gone to bed and the Momentum team debriefed the day.

Tomorrow the programme starts - today has been a 21 hour day. But the group is a good one and I do not resent this time invested one bit. Why because the group from 7 countries are making a difference to youth work across Europe

Here's to a good but tiring week !
